Summer reading kick-off at the library

Lucas and his best buddy, Harrison, headed to the library today for their summer kick-off party. There was a petting zoo with a gigantic camel. Lucas was brave and fed him carrot sticks. There were llamas and goats and a minature horse. He got Mickey Mouse painted on his arm and a balloon animal. Such fun for the little guys.

For those of you wondering about baby #2, there is recent news from Nepal. About 20 more families received referrals this past week. Of those, I've heard of 7 total from France and Italy and at least 2 to a US agency. Since we're all in the same line, that means I should be moving up because Nepal seems to be processing families in sequential order. Strangely enough, I've only heard of girls being referred so far. With any luck, they'll send out another batch of 20 in 2 weeks or so and then another batch of 20 a couple of weeks after that. It won't be long until they get to me at #67. I'm feeling pretty positive right now.

Are you planning on traveling, I don't know how that works for that country. You know Lucas can come stay with us while you are gone! I doubt is grandparents would let him!
