Birthday Boy

My little boy is six already. Where does the time go? He had a great birthday weekend. He got lots of legos which he now loves, thanks to his older cousin. We've built Ninjago stuff and cars and fire engines, etc like crazy recently. He had a party with lots of kindergartners at our house. It was CRAZY! He got lots of nice presents and the kids seemed to have fun. We had a bug hunt for plastic bugs in our front yard. I learned my lesson though. Never have that many kids over again. They get so rowdy. What was I thinking????

Lydia was a wonderful baby sister. I can't believe how well she acted. She wasn't jealous at all and she really helped. She took the presents from the kids when they arrived and handed Lucas presents to open when it was time. She really is an amazing little girl.










Our last picture is of Lucas in his school's musical performance. He's not that tall and right in the front row. Can you make him out? I was sitting the back with Lydia and she was running around in circles. When Lucas' class went on stage, she wandered up the middle aisle until she could see really good. I was in the back, signaling her to come back as all the parents who know me saw her and started turning around to laugh at me. :) Lucas thought she was the funniest thing too. Before they started singing, he was punching his friends and pointing and laughing at his sister. It was hilarious (if you don't take this parenting thing too seriously.)
