Visiting Omaha

We recently visited Omaha with Nana and Grandad.  I chose Omaha because none of us had ever been there before and it sounded like it had some nice attractions.  Luckily, I was right.  We all had a really good time.  The zoo in Omaha was awesome.  The kids had a really good time.  Except for the Kingdom of the Night exhibit.  It was dark and icky and the swamp part almost did me in.  We were walking on little bridges over alligators in the dark.  I was totally freaked out.  Lydia kept saying let's get out of here and Lucas covered his eyes.   Yuck!  But otherwise, it was totally cool.  The gorilla exhibit and aquarium were cool too.
We went to 2 other museums and a wildlife safari.  The museums both had train exhibits.  Grandad LOVES trains.  So that was perfect for him.  And the Durham museum had a Mindbender Mansion exhibit where the kids had to solve puzzles to get clues to a big puzzle.  Lucas really enjoyed that part.  Lydia thought she was solving the puzzles, but she wasn't really.  Some of them were pretty hard.
Honestly though, the kids just love being in a hotel.  We could stay there all day long and they would be happy.  It's the simple things in life.
