new bike!

Spring/Summer has come early this year. The weather here is unseasonably warm, close to 80 degrees for the last week. So yesterday, I had this great idea to get Lydia a bike. She wants to be like Lucas so bad. I was really impressed that after 1 day, she can kind of pedal it. She does keep trying go backwards and put on the brakes sometimes. I remember Lucas doing that too when he started.

Yesterday, I was working with her when we first got it. She had on different colored crocs. The neighbors having the St Patty's Day party probably thought I was crazy yelling at Lydia, purple, orange, purple, orange. She was having trouble getting the rhythym at first and that totally worked-calling out the different colored shoes.

Today she biked along with Lucas while Nana and I went on a walk. With me pushing/pulling her, she made it the entire way. Funny thing though, she keeps watching her feet, so I say, look up. She's so literal, she actually looked to the sky. :) So now I have to say, look straight - otherwise she veers sideways all the time. She almost took Nana out once.
