Visiting Kansas City

I've got spring fever bad, so I've already started mapping out the tons of things I want to do this summer. We got started last weekend with a trip to Kansas City. It was a very kid oriented trip, which is perfect for us.

Lydia liked the children's area at Science City at Union Station. She LOVED blowing air in her own face. She's a little strange. :)

We went to the Hallmark visitor center and Kaleidescope, which is a hands on art/crafts area by Hallmark. It was pretty cool. Here's a picture of Lucas turning a crank to make a puzzle.

We also spent some time at the Crown Center Mall. The kids had fun at dinner, where a train brought our food to the table. And then visited the Under the Sea play area. Lydia couldn't get enough of walking around and thru the "seaweed" hanging in one part of the exhibit.

The next day, we visited the Kansas City Zoo. It was a very nice zoo and I thought the coolest part was the free roaming kangaroos. It really surprised Nana and I when we came around the corner in the Australia part of the zoo and came face to face with 2 kangaroos. They just hopped out of our way.

We really had a fun weekend and I can't wait to do more this summer.
