It was a HOT weekend!

Wow - it was hot this weekend! So hot that I decided to go out and buy a sprinkler for Lucas. That sounds easier than it was. All the summer toys are on clearance now and I had to go to three stores to find a child's sprinkler. It was worth it though because he loves sprinklers. We walked on Saturday and Sunday morning with Nana and he kept pointing out all the yards that were being watered and we kept stopping so he could feel the water.
On Saturday morning, we stayed at Grandad's after walking to help Grandad and Nana plant 2 bushes in their landscaping. Lucas was toddling around the front yard looking around and all of a sudden Grandad said "He's eating dirt!" My little BOY had walked up to the wheel barrow and popped a handful of dirt into his mouth. I was shocked and started wiping his mouth with my t-shirt. But I was laughing at the same time - where do boys learn these things? He's not a baby that usually puts things in his mouth at all. Why did that dirt look appealing?????
Here are pictures of Lucas playing in the sprinkler. What a rolly-polly little guy!
And one picture of him napping this weekend. He moves all over that bed!

The wait is so long, but as I'm sure you know....SO worth it! Your little Lucas is too cute for words. I love the picture of him sleeping with his little fanny in the air. So sweet!

It looks like we are just behind you on the waiting list. After this week's referrals, we are about #132. Hoping for a few more this week. Maybe, we'll end up traveling together. Oh yea, we are also from IL. I love the picture of Lucs with his tushy in the ir. My mom says I used to sleep like that when I was a baby.

We have a dirt-eater too! I guess it looks like chocolate? Not that he should know how good chocolate is...anyway, I subscribe to the "it strengthens his immune system" theory.
He looks adorable and so in heaven playing with those sprinklers!
