Another weekend coming to an end

Lucas and I have been really busy this weekend just spending time with the family and cleaning the house. I'm exhausted - weekends really wear me out and Lucas is pretty tired too. I just got him to bed and hopefully he'll stay there because I'm ready to crash!

He's really starting to get the hang of walking. He's able to take steps and stop standing up now instead of falling down or collapsing on furniture to stop. He's taking more and more steps all the time and loves to walk long distances holding my hands. (When I say long, I mean up and down the sidewalk or driveway. That's pretty far for his short legs.) He's so much more active every day. We went to grandad's concert on Sunday night and we sat on some steps. He was up and down and all around. He's really starting to wear mommy out trying to keep up with him.

On Sunday, I caught this adorable picture of him parting the blinds to look out the front window. I think he's the smartest baby ever. And then I let him play in his sandbox for the first time. He really liked it and I was surprised. So far, I thought he was a baby that didn't like to get his hands dirty. Boy was I wrong!





And here are pictures with his cousin Harrison. I put Lucas down next to the baby to compare size and Lucas thought it was really funny. He kept sitting up and laying back down next to Harrison. Lucas had his bottom up in the air most of the time. SO CUTE! He is really interested in the baby. He wants to touch him and pat him, but he doesn't know how to pat softly yet. Poor Harrison!







Adoption #2 update - As of Friday, I'm at #135 on the waiting list. I've moved up 21 spots in just over 2 months. That seems like progress to me!
