Can you find him?

  • Has anyone seen Lucas? This is our new game. He hides from me every time I need to:
    Get him dressed
    Put his coat on
    Put his shoes on
    Take medicine
    Etc

It would be pretty funny if it wasn't frustrating!!!

We've had such a good weekend. On Friday night, Lucas and I had a Mommy/Lucas date night. We went out to dinner and then went to the mall. We played at the mall playground, ate a pretzel and played games at the arcade. It was so much fun to just mess around.
On Saturday, it was warm enough to be outside so we played in his sandbox (which has frozen sand on the bottom), played basketball and took a walk in his wagon. Oh how I love this baby, what did I ever do without him?

A funny story for today. Lucas was helping me make a carrot cake. I had it all mixed up and almost ready to bake. I turned away for a moment to get a spatula and he grabbed a spice container off the counter and started shaking it over the cake batter. Anyone want to guess what he added to the carrot cake?

Cayenne pepper! That should give the superbowl party some kick, shouldn't it? I scraped as much as I could out, but someone could get a spicy bite. :)

Baby #2 news!!! Drum roll please. I can't keep my secret any longer.
I'm hoping and praying that the new addition to our family comes home this year from

    NEPAL

I've hesitated sharing the news because things are so unstable in Nepal with the government. They are reopening the adoption program after almost 2 years and revamping the process. This could be a roller coaster ride, so hang on. I'm scared and excited at the same time.

Congratulations, I have been checking in to see if you had said anything about adoption#2. That might be the road we also travel if they cannot work out our adoption in Vietnam. Can't wait to follow your journey.

I look forward to following you on this new journey. Any idea of a timeline?

I am so excited to watch your journey to Nepal! I wanted to go with Nepal but I don't meet all the requirements yet. I'll be praying for you.
